I've had the privilege of working with Amber as a board member for Beyond the City, where she has consistently shown genuine leadership and dedication to our youth. Her commitment to creating inclusive environments make her an ideal candidate for the GRPS Board of Education. Additionally, her integrity and follow-through are unmatched, and I have no doubt that she will bring the same energy, compassion, and vision to the GRPS Board. For nearly two decades, I've seen Amber serve as a community advocate, youth guide, and parent volunteer. She understands a child's mental health and personal needs are crucial to their success in the classroom. I trust she'll bring a fresh and valued perspective to GRPS and I am excited to support her.

Amber Kilpatrick has years of experience working in and on our public school system. As a parent, an educator and a nonprofit partner, Amber has served as a leader in many facets of our community's most important work: preparing our kids to be great citizens. Her wide viewshed of our community resources, our kids' intellectual, social and emotional needs, will be a great asset on the GRPS board.

Amber is a cherished, long-time friend of mine. At her core, Amber is a human and environment-focused leader.  She consistently has her pulse on the needs of each community she serves including the real struggles, worries, and fears that exist and most importantly she leads by getting things done. Amber takes action but she does so in ways that also help move others into spaces of growth, deeper conversation and advocacy all with a larger goal of creating connection and community. When she gathers people, they heal, they learn, and they stretch. I am so glad that she has decided to use her talents and focus to support the GRPS community!

As the only fellow GRPS parent in this race, I know Amber will ask tough questions on behalf of our kids and fearlessly advocate for their safety.

I have known Amber for the past 15 years, and wholeheartedly endorse her for one of the four open seats on the Grand Rapids Public Schools School Board. I have worked with Amber in a number of different capacities over the years, and her ability to truly listen to others, to remain open and to find solutions is unmatched. Amber is grounded, wise and extremely motivated to create the change necessary to make improvements in our school district. She has been a dedicated parent and  community member within the GRPS community, and the natural next step would be that she would accept the role of a school board member as she continues to advocate for our students and school personnel. I believe she is who our board needs, and look forward to supporting her efforts as a board member.

Trust is my top priority when it comes to school board representation, which is why I fully endorse Amber Kilpatrick. As an entrepreneur, I often collaborated with other business owners, but I was cautious about letting them operate in my space. Since my name was on the door, I felt that what happened there reflected on me.

Amber not only held classes and workshops in my space, but she also had a key and could come and go as needed. I never once felt uneasy because I knew she would always do the right thing. I trusted her then, and I still do now.

I have known Amber for over a decade. She has always been actively engaged and advocating for our GRPS community. Our kids have gone to different GRPS schools, but I often see her dedication at GRPS events and her devotion to our students with her mindfulness and well being programs. Amber will be a great addition to the GRPS School board and has my full support.

I worked with Amber during her tenure with the Eastown Community Association while I owned Spirit Dreams in Eastown.

Amber's strengths included great organizational skills; ability to listen objectively and communicate effectively; leading with insight and compassion with all people and situations. I have no hesitation to endorse Amber for a seat on the Grand Rapids Public Schools Board of Education and hope you will vote for her!
